Applying for Schedule Monument Consent (SMC) on behalf of client regarding Norwich City Wall.
Issues
The clients applied for and received planning permission for a conversion of a building which is built partly upon the upstanding remains of Norwich City Walls.
Solution
East Anglian Heritage undertook writing supporting letter and mitigation stratagy for the proposed works which could affect the historic remains of Norwich City Wall which presented within the building in question. After which East Anglian Heritage submitted and guided the application through the SMC process untill it was successfully approved.
Outcomes
The client obtained Schedule Monument Consent for the proposed work and progressed in implementing the approved scheme.
