Issues

A previous planning application was refused by the LPA officer due to insufficient client supplied information regarding the archaeological potential of the proposed development site.

Solution

East Anglian Heritage undertook writing an archaeological Desk Based Assessment (DBA) of the site including a review of the earlier refused planning application and the implications of this upon the forthcoming new planning application.

Outcomes

The DBA was submitted to the LPA as part of the planning application and the LPA Archaeological Consultee noted the DBA assessed and identified the archaeological potential of the site and recommended in regards to archaeology the application be approved with standard archaeological planning condition for post determination evaluation works.
